The Park at Southwood family,
We wanted to update you on some of the latest developments in the subdivision. This year's officers, all volunteers under the direction of President Carla Miller, are rockin' and rollin' and making improvements to the neighborhood for you to enjoy.
If you haven't been by the reservoir, a new asphalt walking trail has been installed. It provides a cushioned area to get exercise saving on knee and hip wear and tear. As a due-paying resident, please feel free to use and enjoy the feature.
Your dues also went to provide you with a 4th of July event to include a firework show, children's jump houses, food trucks and more.
2020 upgrades:
1) walking trail
2) playground
3) landscaped entrances, extensive lawn care
4) new traffic signs
5) new street signs
6) maintaining electrical, plumbing and lighting in subdivision
7) dog waste station
8) annual garage sales
9) 4th of July event
10) marquee upgrades
11) light-decorated entrance in the winter
12) house light decorating contest
Please help to keep your neighborhood attractive. Mow, trim and sweep your sidewalks. Also, do not blow/leave clippings in the street. It clogs draining systems and can flood the neighborhood. Did you know that is a city ordinance that carries a fine?
Watch for any vandalism when you see a suspicious act or the potential. If you have questions, do not hesitate to call a Park at Southwood officer. The website with board member contact information can be found at http://www.theparkatsouthwood.net/
Have a great summer!
